On average, we serve between 1,000 and 1,200 meals per day. Our newly remodeled kitchen and dining area are Staffed by mostly volunteers and also residents in our workforce development program, and most of the food prepared at Dallas LIFE comes through our in-kind product donation program. We are grateful to have many individual and corporate volunteers serve in our meal lines each and every day.

Shelter is a primary need for human life that many individuals in Dallas live without. Our 100,000 square foot facility is capable of housing up to 500 men, women and children per day. Men and women are on separate floors in dormitory style housing. Dallas LIFE also has 50 individual family unit rooms, which allow children to reside with their parents. During extreme cold spells, our mat night program allows us to create additional temporary space to bring more folks in out of the elements.

Clothing is a basic necessity often taken for granted in today’s society. Hundreds of clothing donations arrive at Dallas LIFE through our in-kind donation program. The items are sorted, logged, and placed in our clothing room, where residents can select outfits for themselves for daily living, job interviews, as well as for their children.
