Assistance for those with disabilities…
Unique to most homeless missions, the Overcomers Program at Dallas LIFE assists residents who have slight mental or physical disabilities and are unable to work. The Overcomers Program provides each participant with basic needs and guides them in applying for disability. Our compassionate guidance helps our Overcomers achieve a stable life and move toward independent living by managing their fixed income.
The Overcomers Program meets daily alongside the Senior Citizens Program for twelve months, with defined program phases and participation in the graduation ceremony upon completion.

“Most shelters don’t know what to do with someone like me.” By “someone like me,” Judy is referring to the fact that she was 65 years old when she arrived at Dallas LIFE. She was able to find a place and a plan in the Homeless No More Program.
